Hi All

I have a request for knowledge on good ‘tracking’ gizmos that may be handy
to use during some extended travel I’m planning later this year. I’ve been
looking at the i-gotU GPS tracker (
http://global.mobileaction.com/product/product_i-gotU_USB.jsp) which seems
to do what I want, but as you lot constantly bring up the latest and
greatest services and gadgets I was wondering if anyone had other
suggestions.

Although I’d like to do some degree of mid travel blogging/geolocating I
won’t have a computer with me (travelling lite) so I’ll be relying on
internet-cafes. For now I’m happy to record my tracks and match them up to
photos/online maps when I get back but am open to any other ideas. I’m a
GPS novice but have dealt extensively with processing spatial data and use
of GIS systems which I hope will make things easier. I’m even willing to
take the raw logged data from an i-gotU tracker or similar and run it
through any geo-hacks if need be.

Cheers

Adrian
