Publish the geodb/layer as a REST service in ArcGIS Server Manager (or
via ArcCatalog), then use the ArcGIS Javascript lib for Virtual Earth

ome. Make sure you setup the service on AGS correctly (see
http://webhelp.esri.com/arcgisserver/9.3/dotNet/index.htm#designing_over
lay_gm_mve.htm).

I haven't used the VE interfaces, but I've used the extension for Google
Maps, works fine.

Subject: [Geowanking] Interactive GIS website with Virtual Earth
functionality question

Greetings!

Does anyone know how to create a link from GIS site (an ArcGIS Server
9.3 and ArcSDE 9.3 Geodatabase running on Microsoft SQL Server 2005) to
Microsoft Virtual Earth. Basically, I want my user to be able to view
their location of interest 1) on their interactive GIS website and 2)
through Microsoft Virtual Earth, without having to leave their
interactive GIS website.

Thanks for your help.

Catherine
