As a relative newcomer, I have run into Bruce at a number of events
over the last two years here in the urban East Bay.. and recall the
Santa Clara decision as it came out.. GIS Day at UC Berkeley, BAAMA
and a loose coalition of County GIS officers of the nine Bay Area
counties that tried to set up a sharing skunk-works but implemented
drag and drop... no fault of Bruce's of course.. (It dragged on for
quite a while then they dropped it :-) cant recall the name now...
We have a shiny new OSGeo California chapter as of a couple of weeks
ago... it would be great to coordinate with some of those in the
trenches...
