In AppEngine there is some spatial support
 - java version has capability for full JTS functionality
 - python version not so much, but GeoModel, amongst other examples, makes
querying for point data straightforward

I don't think simpledb is really built for spatial support, but their new
mysql offering might be worth looking at?

Azure doesn't seem to offer spatial support either

I guess it also depends on what you think "cloud" means. Are my ec2/postgis
instances in the cloud? Or are do standard virtual servers not count? Does
it make a difference that my postgres clusters are actually on Elastic Block
Storage?
