Hi Andrew, I think the ff search bar must be built into the ff native code base. I submitted a support request, but who knows if it will get actioned. Maybe if it got built for ff, the other browsers would follow suit.

I had thought the MiniMap sidebar extension supported it, but found out it doesn't. It seems like a straight-forward modification for someone to extend it to support searching an OpenSearch-Geo endpoint. Perhaps something to hack on at WhereCamp in a few weeks?
