A little feedback, sent to the list because I suspect I'll see a lot of
such things, and these are kind of generic gripes.
I'm mid-way through the survey. I'm taking it for San Francisco,
California, United States.
First, specific to this survey, on the first picture somehow I missed
the "place names" and so ended up adding a few extra tags to the
picture that were specific to the picture, but not necessarily "place
names". There's no way to go back to correct my mistake.
I did exactly the same thing. A pattern is forming...
Second, you ask
"Does the location on the map match the picture's content?"
Often the location on the map is the location the picture was taken
from. If the picture is of the Transamerica Tower from a mile away,
does that "match the picture's content"?
One of the options to that question is "No, but it's close". Does
"Close" mean "same city"? I'm using a subjective half-a-mile as my
cutoff, but there are a number, for instance, that are looking south to
San Francisco over the Golden Gate from the Marin Headlands that are
tagged from about the geographic center of San Francisco. If I'm
looking generically for pictures of San Francisco, that's "close". If
I'm looking for pictures of the Golden Gate from the north side, that's
not.
Third, the drag-and-drop behavior for "which of these keywords are in
this category" is extremely annoying, especially for long lists. That
should really be a checkbox next to each keyword.
