Through the Abu Dhabi Global Environmental Data Initiative (AGEDI), the
Government of Abu Dhabi is organising a global summit devoted to the issue of
greater access to environmental and societal information.

The Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi (EAD) will host the Eye on Earth Summit on
December 12-15, 2011 in Abu Dhabi, in partnership with the United Nations
Environment Programme (UNEP).

At Eye on Earth, global leaders, innovators and decision-makers will focus on
an issue critical to the conservation of our planet: ensuring effective access
to the world’s expanding pool of environmental and societal data by all of
those who need it.

Eye on Earth will attract leaders from the worlds of government, business,
science, civil society and academia to encourage and strengthen existing
efforts, and to inspire harmonious new solutions to this global challenge.
