Geowankers:

This month the California Central Valley Geospatial Professionals
Group will hold the first meeting of the Utility Infrastructure
Working Group. We'll be discussing, among other things, the creation
of data standards to facilitate the transfer of utility GIS data
between regional organizations. I'm trying to locate information on
existing standards for utility GIS data before the meeting. Here is
what a Google search revealed:

1) Kansas Water Utility Data Standard
(http://oits.ks.gov/kito/itec/Policies/ITECITPolicy6180A.pdf)
2) FGDC Utility Data Content Standard
(http://oits.ks.gov/kito/itec/Policies/ITECITPolicy6180A.pdf)

Please let me know of other utility data standards or utility data
models you are aware of. I'd also be interested to learn about other
cooperative efforts to maintain and exchange utility GIS data.

Thanks for your help!

Landon
