I would have said it more simply as - "but how do you view the whole world?"
I think the sentiment and technology are there. We should no longer be beholden to singular views of data. We can easily transition between different perspectives, using expert knowledge and technology to provide the user with the accurate, accessible, and compelling view. So my challenge is why aren't we doing more dynamic projections?
