I totally understand where you're coming from. I wish I could do it for free, but I'm sure you can appreciate the costs required to build & maintain a service like Geoparser.io (including some pretty beefy AWS resources).
No secrecy is intended, I simply haven't had enough time to adequately promote it yet. :) API calls are measured on a per-request basis. So, one block of input text is one API call, regardless of how many place names or repeats it contains.
