As Richard points out,
We aim to spawn Mapbuilder's projection library out into it's own
project so that it can be used by other Javascript libraries as well.
So we hope all Webmapping clients who are interested in Projection will
join the email list and help us design an interface that you can use.

There is some interest in creating a Javascript projection library
based on MapBuilder * Proj.js. Generally, the goals would be:
- a client-side Javascript projection library
- an interface that could support various web clients
- coordinate transformation with some support for datum shifts
- vector (not raster)
