What might Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDI) look like in 2016? Let's imagine the following three scenarios: - As-is-scenario: Scientific and political efforts to get SDI established succeeded only in part... - Positive-Integration-Scenario: SDI is woven into mainstream GRID and Semantic Web technology... - Negative-Integration-Scenario: Technology integration has moved even further than Scenario 2... (read more under http://sdi.jrc.it/ws/BeyondSDI/index.cfm) According to the given workshop topic and idea submissions to this workshop should be visionary and stimulating. Submissions that are mainly descriptive and that lack critical analysis and thoughtful reflections on future developments are NOT encouraged. Submission should be sent as extended abstracts of 1500-2500 words. The submissions will be reviewed by an international panel. Submitted full papers will be peer reviewed after the workshop and put forward to an international scientific journal.
