MetroGIS is a regional group set up to facilitate GIS data sharing between government agencies in the 7 County Metropolitan Area around Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN.  This forum is focused on the "Where do we go from here?" question for the group and will look at both the data needs and possibilities for shared services etc.  Anyone thinking of traveling in for this (not to say you shouldn't) should keep in mind that this forum is specifically looking at how to meet the needs of a particular group of government users within one geographic region (with some spill-over as to how much non-profit, education, and private users should be involved).

I sit on the Coordinating Committee for MetroGIS if anyone has specific questions.
