[Geowanking] geo teach-in?

I'm interested in organizing a geophile teach-in. I have my issues, and everybody has their own ;).

Thought a semi-informal get together once in a while could be fun, informative, instructive, and...who knows what else.

I'm volunteering Urban Mapping's office to host an event. Would love one or two others to help organize with me. If it works I'd love to host something like this once in a while. UMI is located in Mission Bay, 2 blocks from Caltrain terminus.

Initial questions on my mind are: topics, format, timing
