i'd vote for it, but don't make it the same dates as there where2.2 event. where2.x is great for large(r) industry people looking to get things done, but there's clearly value in .alt(ernative) venues. a euro-wide geowanking confab sounds like a swell idea to me, but of course it won't attract the same crowd.

The cynic in me might comment that with a price of $1100-$1500, saying the conference is for "activists and community organizers building tools for managing non-profit location groups" is a bit rich - ho ho. Evan suggested holding an alternative, BarCamp/WikiSym-like event in London. This could be a good chance for UK/Euro geohackers to get together and do the knowledge sharing thing. Do people on this list think they'd be interested in coming to such a happening?
