I'm interested. Also, in July, OpenStreetMap is holding its first conference, The State of the Map http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/The_State_Of_The_Map

Evan Prodromou asked me the other day on #geo (irc.oftc.net) whether I'd be attending Where 2.0 this year. I had to answer no, because it's not only on the other side of the world from me - I'm in London - but also the registration cost is way more than I can afford. The cynic in me might comment that with a price of $1100-$1500, saying the conference is for "activists and community organizers building tools for managing non-profit location groups" is a bit rich - ho ho. Evan suggested holding an alternative, BarCamp/WikiSym-like event in London. This could be a good chance for UK/Euro geohackers to get together and do the knowledge sharing thing. Do people on this list think they'd be interested in coming to such a happening?
