Dear list,
Mapnik 0.4.0 ( + Debian packages ) is out and there are lots of new
cool features ( http://mapnik.org/news/ ). Thanks to everyone involved!
It is now being used by Geospatialvision (http://
www.geospatialvision.com ), 10East Corp (http://www.10east.com ),
Metacarta (http://www.metacarta.com) just to name a few. It is great
to see FOSS making further inroads into commercial Geo.
Mapnik also powers the 'Slippy' map at OpenStreetMap ( http://
www.openstreetmap.org ) - currently the most important effort to
free geo data!
