Hello,
I know it's a long shot, but I'm wondering if anyone knows of any
free sources of detailed roads data for California that is better
than Tiger. Or, are there any WMS services out there that offer
better data? We are a non-profit organization who is publishing an
interactive map of public parks in the state. We've tried overlaying
our data on top of a google basemap using OpenLayers but the result
is confusing. Ideally, we would like to create our own custom
basemap. Tiger data will suffice, but it would be nice to have
better data. I don't suppose any of the large data organizations
such as tele atlas ever offer low-cost licenses to non-profits?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jennifer
