Hi everybody,

visualizing a particular site, the military airport of Galatina (Lecce, Southern Italy), there is a clear difference between Google Earth and Microsoft Visual Earth. The former shows the site as it is while the latter covers it with olive trees.

Here's a detailed comparison: http://x-novo.blogspot.com/2007/05/ vatti-fidare-di-microsoft.html
with the related KMZ file to locate the site on Google Earth.

I wonder how many sites are 'manipulated' and who's the best/the worst in doing that among the two.

One question immediately springs to mind: Is it clear who is doing the censorship here? MS, Google, or their data providers?

Cheers,

Andrew
