I'm writing an article for New Scientist that will, in part, be about
the future of map hackery in 3D worlds like Google Earth. I just had the
MOST FRUSTRATING conversation with the project lead on Google Street
View, who refused to acknowledge that anyone was doing mashups of Street
View -- or even that users were requesting functionality that went
beyond scale (ie, more cities). WTF.

I *know* there are awesome hacks/mashups for Street View, including one
that Mikel Maron worked on at Where Camp
(http://brainoff.com/weblog/2007/06/03/1253). What else is out there?
