If you're interested in Canadian data. I know a company that has the
best list for Ontario and Quebec. Don't know the cost of the dataset,
though.
You'd have to geocode the data, though. Thing is, I don't know if
geocoding is good enough for the kinds of applications we're envisioning
these days. Interpolating from the centroid of a street centerline
(still the overwhelming method) almost never gives you the right location.

A few geocoders exist-Rich Gibson's geocoder.us is well-liked and uses
TIGER. Y!, Google, MapQuest are a few commercial providers. Since you
are starting with address, accuracy isn't something you can control,
but I don't think accuracy is a concern for your purposes
