For those not in the thread previously, OpenViewProject.org is up, and is tracking the work currently that I am doing to build a pano-cam for the purposes of creating interactive panoramas of places *other* than empty streets. What I want to do is build a platform for people to build and create their own perspectives of the world, be it farmers markets, concerts, art festivals, hiking trails, whatever. I will be building an service to host and serve up this data in the comming months, and hope many of you wankers will want to contribute.
To create a splash, I will be taking about 30,000 panoramas of Burning Man this year, which will allow anyone to virtually walk around the temporary city, and see the art and the artists of that vibrant event. Follow the progress of the project at http://openviewproject.org/ Cheers, Tom Longson (nym) http://truefalsemaybe.com/ On Wed, Jul 16, 2008 at 12:18 PM, Jeffrey Johnson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Can we get a show of hands for Playa Geowankers? > > > > On Wed, Jul 16, 2008 at 11:30 AM, Anselm Hook <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Oh jesus that is so true. > > > > Burning Man will be totally controversial.
