A 30-year-old woman has been killed during a practice for an event planned as part of an arts festival in Letterkenny, County Donegal.
It is understood a model globe from which the woman was suspended fell from a crane. The woman is understood to have then fallen about 30ft and the globe fell on top of her. She died at the scene The practice was taking place on Wednesday afternoon at a venue in the Lurgybrack area. The matter has been referred to the Republic's health and safety authority.
