Hi Mike, Thanks for the conference information, I'll see if I can get in touch with them. The release of Photosynth has somewhat offset the newness of what I was trying to do, as I was also using the "photos instead of models" approach. I knew about Photosynth before, but thought that the large time and cluster processing needed was too much of a limit. Now they have improved the generation of "synths" so that my optimisations aren't really relevant anymore. That was quite a feat that the Photosynth/Seadragon people pulled off.
