Dear Gep-eders, One of my student's is involved with our town's
project on making it more bike friendly. We discussed the
possibility of relating of his interests with some of the course
themes (its an upper vision international Organization.) We've come
up with some questions for his final paper as a first step. If you
have suggestions on any of the questions, please email me. As
customary on the Gep-Ed, I'll post a summary. Thanks! Parakh
*** I am a senior Urban Affair and Planning major at Virginia Tech
and I would love to have your input to help me produce a project
pertaining to bicycling as an
alternative mode of transportation.
1. What national or international organizations focus on promoting
bicycling in sustainable communities and as alternative mode of
transportation?
2. Are you aware of any town or cities that may be a bike friendly
community? If so, why do you consider the town or city bike friendly?
3. Would you recommend a particular case study pertaining to
bicycling as an alternative mode of transportation? If so, please let
me know.
4. Are you familiar with transnational networks and movements
focusing on bicycling as an alternative mode of transportation?
Thanks for your time and I look forward to receiving your feedback!
Thanks, Andrew Gillespie
