The special report will feature articles on scientific, legal and policy topics including: * Remediation of the oil spill * Long-term prospects for wetlands recovery * Health and wildlife impacts from the spill * Lessons from Exxon Valdez spill * Reorganization of the Minerals Management Service * Oil Pollution Act liability caps * Common law liability issues * Criminal liability issues * Natural resource damages * International legal issues * Legal reform * Regulatory oversight of advanced technologies The purpose of the special report is to gather the best thinking about lessons from the disaster and steps to be taken to avoid repeating it. The report will be sent to ELR, NWN, and TEF subscribers as well as ELI members and relevant officials. Submissions should be approximately 10 to 20 double-spaced pages with sufficient footnotes to allow readers to trace your sources.
