Best, Elizabeth ---- Environmental Politics The Department of Political Science of Colorado College invites applications for a tenure track appointment at the Assistant Professor level in the areas of environmental policy, environmental politics, and environmental governance. We seek excellence in research and teaching and we offer resources to support both. The successful candidate will teach core courses and electives in both Political Science and Environmental Studies. We welcome international and regional specialists and those who can examine environmental issues from diverse perspectives. The College is committed to increasing the diversity of the community. Colorado College is a highly ranked, selective liberal arts school located at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. We work on the "Block Plan" in which professors teach, and students take, one course at a time. Each block is three and a half weeks long, with an academic year of eight and a half blocks. The standard faculty load is six blocks per year, with a maximum of 25 students per course. All requirements for the Ph.D. should be completed by the starting date of September 1, 2011; if not, the initial appointment will be at the level of Instructor.
