Visiting Instructor Position in Environmental Policy
The Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University invites
applications for a Visiting Instructor Position in Environmental Policy.
The candidate will teach courses in environmental policy at the graduate
professional level for students completing degrees in the Master of
Environmental Management and Master of Forestry. The required teaching
load is 4 courses per year, including a master's-level core class in
environmental policy and politics and three electives in environmental
policy broadly defined. The candidate will also be expected to supervise
Masters Projects. Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to
high quality teaching. Candidates should have a Ph.D. (or expected by
July 1, 2011) in Public Policy, Political Science, Decision Science,
Environmental Social Science, or related fields with significant
training and experience in environmental policy and management. Research
interests may include, but not limited to, institutions and governance,
political economy, land use policy, conservation policy, climate policy,
energy policy and politics, regulatory design, policy analysis, and
other related topics. The Instructor Position is renewable for up to
