GEP Colleagues,
If you wish to keep up on the latest ideas and reviews on environmental politics, which journal would you turn to? I’m guessing that few of us would think of *Perspectives on Politics* (the newish journal of the APSA). Yet in the new March 2011 edition, one of the three “Research Articles” is on climate change, all six books discussed in the “Critical Dialogues” section are about environmental politics, and there is a subsequent special book section with reviews of 24 (yes, twenty-four) books on environmental politics. http://journals.cambridge.org/action/displayIssue?jid=PPS&volumeId=9&seriesId=0&issueId=01 Maybe someone in the rest of the discipline will sit up and take notice? Maybe they already have… All the best, John PS: I can’t help myself – one of the 24 is a very generous review of the book that Michael Maniates and I co-edited, with numerous list members as contributors: *The Environmental Politics of Sacrifice*. -- John M.
