Dear Colleagues:

An interdisciplinary group of faculty at the University of California, Santa Cruz, has been developing an undergraduate sustainability curriculum for the past five years, which is available on-line for consultation and use. Our activities have been supported by NSF grants in Course, Curriculum and Laboratory Improvements (CCLI) and a more recent grant from Learn and Serve America, a project of the National Corporation for Service Learning.

You can find the hope page for Sustainability Engineering and Ecological Design (SEED) at https://seed.soe.ucsc.edu/, and web pages leading to both labs and courses by following the tabs on the Home page.

Information for the course supported by the Learn and Serve America grant is available at http://sustainability.ucsc.edu/sustainability.ucsc.edu/ideass

As with all such grants, dissemination is an important element. We would be delighted if you would peruse the web sites and consider adopting labs and courses.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

All the best,

Ronnie D. Lipschutz
