Dear all, I would be grateful for any pointers to compilations or comparative studies of national climate laws, policies and measures. Is there any institution already keeping track of these, to spare me having to re-invent the wheel? Are there any good comparative analyses that you are aware of planned for the future? I have compiled all the published studies I could find (surprisingly few), but I would be grateful if you could alert me if you are conducting or aware of someone else conducting a study that will be completed within the next year or so. I am interested in both Annex 1 and non-Annex 1 country information.
This survey is intended to feed into the next assessment report of the IPCC and will look at: - emergent national institutions and governance frameworks for climate change: laws, plans, specific policies, governing committees and the like - degree and forms of subnational action - how these various arrangements emerge from and are shaped by national politics. I realize this is an enormous ask, but am hoping that the collective wisdom of members of this list will be a good starting point for pulling at least some of it together.
