Discussions about the imperative for transition to a global green economy will be central at the United Nations Rio+20 conference this June. However, it is not at all clear what the concept of “green economy” means let alone the economic and socio-political implications of such a transition. In an effort to capture the timeliness of concerns for a greater environmental justice in the quest for a new green economy, please note the call for papers for a special issue of International Environmental Agreements: Politics, Law and Economics, entitled: "International Environmental Justice and the Quest for a Green Global Economy" at http://www.springer.com/law/environmental/journal/10784.
