Colleagues: The School of International Service at American
University seeks a full-time instructor for 2012-13 to teach in our programs on
International Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR) and Global Environmental
Politics (GEP). We are seeking someone qualified to teach one or more
specialized courses at the interface of environment/conflict/peace with a focus
on environmental conflict resolution, as well as courses specific to each
program, at both the undergraduate and MA level. Teaching load is three courses
per semester. This is a non-tenure-track, one-year appointment with possibility
of reappointment for a second year depending on budgetary authorization and
satisfactory performance. Evidence of teaching effectiveness required and PhD
in hand preferred, although qualified ABD candidates will be considered. See
