We especially seek a social scientist who has expertise in teaching in one of the following areas: sustainable food and agriculture systems, climate and energy policy, water policy, global environmental politics, environmental ethics, urban environment, or institutional politics/common property.? We also value teachers with experience working collaboratively across disciplines and experience working with community agencies and NGOs on engaged projects involving students.? The teaching load is three courses per year, and the position entails supervising 5-7 senior theses or capstone projects. Depending upon the candidate?s qualifications, they may be asked to teach core environmental studies courses, so experience in teaching any of these courses will be a helpful addition to the candidate?s qualifications (please see envstudies.brown.edu for our full curriculum).
