[gep-ed] gep-ed views on Rio + 20:...?!

GEPED-ers: I am struck by the silence on the list as Rio+20 plays out. For those not following closely, but interested, here is a link to the "text for agreement" that Brazil has brokered as the host delegation:

Brazil and many others are anxious to see it not be reopened for negotiation; we'll see how that goes over the next few days.

If folks on the list would like to write a paragraph (max) summarizing their thoughts about what is happening, isn't happening, should happen, can't happen, etc., send it to me <co...@american.edu> and I'd be happy to string them together and circulate to the list. Include your name and institutional affiliation. Feel free to respond now, or in the coming days, or to wait until the circus is over. I am just curious as to the range of views that are out there in our intellectual community....Ken Conca
