Subject: 'The Politics of Carbon Markets' - a special issue of Environmental
Politics

Dear Climate-L readers,

I would like to draw your attention to Environmental Politics current
special issue 'The Politics of Carbon Markets' edited by Matthew Paterson
and myself.

The contributions to the special issue develop a political science
perspective on carbon markets scrutinising their history and highlighting
the practices and technologies that have been used to bring these markets
into being.

The articles cover such diverse issues as carbon as currency, commodifying
forest carbon, the development of New Zealand's ETS, the early history of
emissions trading, the interplay between virtue and virtuality or the role
of practitioners in shaping and creating carbon markets.

You can access the special issue here:

Enjoy the read!

Best

Benjamin Stephan
