Dear all,

While I left UBC in rainy Vancouver (Canada) for sunny and warm
Aguascalientes in Mexico, I can personally vouch for the extremely high
quality of scholarship undertaken at the Liu Institute for Global Issues
(full disclosure: I am currently working on a project on water poverty and
energy poverty with Dr. Hisham Zerriffi from Liu). This is an excellent
position for a very strong scholar, so I would really appreciate it if you
could redistribute amongst your networks.

I am definitely not in the hiring/search committee but if the potential
candidate(s) has any questions about UBC, Vancouver or even Liu itself I am
happy to answer them. My networks in food security and food systems aren't
as strong as I would like them to be, so I would appreciate you forwarding
this announcement to your own.

Please that the deadline is coming up pretty soon (October 22nd, 2012)

Raul
