In recent years, it has very successfully competed for external research funds. Among the central research areas of the Department are democratisation, diplomacy, peace and conflict studies, environmental politics and welfare studies. The strong research profile of the Department is reflected in the teaching. Many of our courses have emerged out of research projects, making it possible for our students to encounter recent research findings and teachers who are active researchers within their respective fields. Moreover, the educational environment is firmly set in a global context. ** This position involves teaching and research in Political Science. The successful applicant is also expected to develop and manage undergraduate (first cycle) and postgraduate (second cycle) programmes of study. ** In order to be eligible a candidate must hold a PhD or equivalent international doctoral degree within the relevant field.
