The School of Public and International Affairs at NC State invites applications 
for a Postdoctoral Scholar position in politics of science and technology 
policy beginning August 16, 2013. The position is for a one-year appointment in 
the Department of Political Science. The successful candidate should have a 
strong background a research agenda that address the issues of science and 
technology politics and policy in addition to experience as a teaching 
assistant or instructor. Motivation to teach and conduct and publish research 
is expected.The Postdoctoral Teaching Scholar will teach one course per 
semester in political science, and we are particularly interested in candidates 
who are prepared to teach courses in science and technology policy and public 
policy. The successful candidate will pursue his/her own research, give talks, 
participate in various ongoing projects in the department and beyond, and 
deliver a research presentation in the spring semester summarizing the research 
progress that is expected to result in publications.
Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate (e.g., M.D., D.V.M., Sc.D.) in appropriate field 
awarded no more than five (5) years from initial date of postdoctoral 
appointment.
Ph.D. in political science, public administration, public policy, or related 
field awarded no more than five years from date of postdoctoral appointment.
