FYI, one of the good reasons to consider coming to the annual Association of
Environmental Studies and Sciences (AESS) annual meeting in New York in June!
In addition to its standard panels, AESS offers several professional workshops
of this nature. Check it out: www.aess.info.

Dear AESS members,

popular workshop “Getting Published: Preparing Manuscripts for Journal
Submission”.

This workshop is intended for graduate students and young professional
desiring an opportunity prepare articles and have manuscripts reviewed as they
would for submission the Journal for Environmental Studies and Sciences or
other professional publication.

How the workshop will be organized:

Each prospective participant will be asked to submit a draft manuscript several
weeks in advance of the workshop.

The manuscripts will be reviewed by the workshop organizers and those
submissions in satisfactory preparation will each be read by the workshop

divide the manuscripts among the participants, so that each participant will
have no more than two articles to review.

Before the session, the participants will be divided into small groups, each
consisting of 2-4 workshop participants and a Journal editor or otherwise
qualified reviewer. Each small group participant's submission will be read by
the other group members in advance of the meeting.

discussed among the members;
