The Department of Political Science at the University of Alaska Fairbanks
invites applications for a term position at the rank of Instructor or
Assistant Professor in the combined areas of American political
institutions/processes, political economy and East Asian governments.
Applicants should have graduate training in these areas. Successful
candidates will be able to teach introductory courses in political economy
and upper division courses in the political behavior and East Asian
governments and Congress. Preferred candidates will have evidence of
effective teaching in both face-to-face and online courses. At a minimum,
the candidate must have an MA degree in Political Science or equivalent.
Preferred candidates will have ABD status by 1 June 2014. Salary for the 9
month appointment will be commensurate with experience.
