The School of Marine Science and Policy
(SMSP)<http://www.ceoe.udel.edu/schools-departments/school-of-marine-science-and-policy>
at the University of Delaware (UD) is hiring four tenure track faculty members
in ocean science and policy. The general advertisement can be found at
http://apply.interfolio.com/25391.

One of the areas of interest is natural resource and environmental policy with
a focus on economic and quantitative policy analysis applied to the
coastal/estuarine environment. We also are open to research in other areas with
quantitative applications including: climate change, coastal development and
land use, offshore energy, marine spatial planning, fisheries, marine mammals,
ships, and ocean management. While current research need not be in these
specific areas, an ability and interest to conduct research on coastal and
ocean resource use is required. Candidates may have expertise in either
domestic or international policy. Typical teaching load is one course per
semester.

Hires are expected to be at the rank of Assistant Professor, but exceptional
applicants at other ranks will be considered. Target start date is Fall 2015.

We will be conducting preliminary interviews at the Association of Public
Policy Analysis and Management's (APPAM) 2014 Fall Research Conference in
Albuquerque on Nov. 7 - 8,
http://www.appam.org/events/fall-research-conference/2014/theme/.

If you are interested in an interview in Albuquerque you should (1) complete
the application below and (2) notify George Parsons
([email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>) and Sunny Jardine
([email protected]) of your interest in an interview. Review of interview
requests will begin on October 1, 2014.

Applications must be submitted at http://apply.interfolio.com/25391. A
complete application will consist of a short cover letter, curriculum vitae,
separate statements of research and teaching interests, and the names and
contact information of three references.

You also can contact me if you have any questions.
