Graduate Assistantships for Doctoral Students in Global Governance and Human 
Security

The McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies at the University of 
Massachusetts Boston invites applications from prospective PhD students 
interested in an interdisciplinary approach to issues such as global 
environmental governance, global health, sustainable development, conflict 
resolution, gender and human security, among others.

Accepted students are eligible for funding for 3 years, with associated 
research and teaching assistantships.

Applications for fall 2015 admission are due January 15, 2015. For more

Accepted applicants who are US citizens or permanent residents can also apply 
to become fellows in the Coasts and Communities program, sponsored by the US 
National Science Foundation's IGERT program. Fellows are trained in new kind of 
environmental problem solving, and are able to think and act across 
disciplinary and geographic boundaries and to develop and implement sustainable 
solutions to pressing environmental problems facing coasts and communities 
(with a focus on Massachusetts Bay and the Horn of Africa).  For more
