Dear colleagues, I am putting together a panel for ISA Atlanta <http://www.isanet.org/Conferences/Atlanta-2016> on Leaders and Leadership in Environmental Governance. The precise framing will depend on the submissions I receive but I'd welcome the following types of papers:
(a) theorising leadership in global environmental governance (b) cross-national comparisons of leadership in environmental governance (c) exploring different conceptualisations of leadership (d) examining failed leadership efforts in climate change or other issue areas (e) examining individual and collective leaders (including state- and non-state actors) Committed papers so far: 1. Hayley Stevenson (Sheffield): analysis of the leadership of IOs in advancing new sustainability concepts and strategies (e.g. green economy and inclusive green growth). 2. Kathryn Harrison (UBC): the role of political leadership in adoption of carbon taxes despite electoral opposition. *Please send a title and abstract of 200 words max. to [email protected] <[email protected]> by Wednesday 20th May.* Best wishes, Hayley -- Dr Hayley Stevenson Senior Lecturer Department of Politics University of Sheffield hayleystevenson.com *Recently published* *Democratizing Global Climate Governance* <http://www.cambridge.org/gb/academic/subjects/politics-international-relations/political-theory/democratizing-global-climate-governance?format=HB> (with John S.
