Dear GEP-eders,

It's that time of year again -- syllabus prep! I'm teaching a new class to
first and second year undergraduates which will include an extensive
section on ocean-related issues. In addition to specific issues (fishing
on the high seas, deep-sea exploration, etc.), I would like to acquaint
them with the main contents and politics of UNCLOS. However, I'm having
trouble finding a text that is an easy, not-overly-detailed discussion of
this sort. Most are historical accounts, or legal analyses of the text
which are more in-depth than I'm looking for.

Anyone have any good suggestions?

I will happily compile and circulate to the group.

Thanks in advance,
Jessica
