Dear colleagues:

It is with all kinds of mixed up emotions of sadness and joy that I
announce the publication today of a review article from the memorial
symposium held in late 2014 for our colleague JoAnn Carmin. The piece was
led up by her two wonderful PhD students at MIT, Linda Shi and Eric Chu, of
whom she was very, very proud. Isabelle was a dynamic student of JoAnn's a
couple years earlier. The piece is interesting and important, and
represents the coming together of a wonderful group of researchers, and I
dare say followers, of JoAnn. I for one am.f

Viva JoAnn.
