Dear Jessica,

I've used the following article in my 'Intro to Environmental Studies' course
when our weekly topic was sustainable development. Jeffrey Sachs, as a special
advisor to MDG and SDG, provides his assessment on the MDG, why it evolves to
SDG, what lessons from MDG should be taken by the SDG, etc.

Sachs, Jeffrey D. "From millennium development goals to sustainable development
goals." The Lancet 379.9832 (2012): 2206-2211.

Sincerely,

Subject: [gep-ed] Readings on SDGs?

Dear all,

Happy Holidays! It's that time of year again -- syllabus prep!

Does anyone have a suggestion for a good reading on the SDGs? I'm looking for
something that explains their evolution from the Millennium Development Goals,
the political interests that explain the negotiations and if possible,
something about their evaluation.

This is for an upper-level undergrad class. All suggestions welcome, and I'm
happy to compile and distribute if people are interested.

Thanks in advance!
Jessica
