Dear friends --

Paul Wapner wrote to the list a few days back with some information about
"Earth Always: An Evening of Environmental Solidarity." We are hosting the
event at American University this coming Saturday, the day after the
Presidential inauguration, as a way to bring the broader environmental
community together. Most of the major environmental organizations are
co-sponsoring the event.

Interest has been overwhelming. We are now, I'm afraid, at capacity. Please
do accept our apologies if any of your students or you were planning to
attend and missed out in the rush for tickets.

Our plan to include people who won't be in the room with us is a "Facebook
Live" stream at moments during the evening when people are making remarks.

At 8:10pm ET we'll have just a couple of minutes each from:

Mike Tidwell (Chesapeake Climate Action Network)
Katie Redford (EarthRights International)
Ken Berlin (Climate Reality Project)
Charise Johnson (Union of Concerned Scientists)

At 9:20pm ET we'll start broadcasting again, to hear from:

Congressman Jamie Raskin (D - MD 8th District)
Bill McKibben (350.org)

The stream will be available via our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/sisgep

We hope you can join us in this virtual fashion. Please spread the word!

All best,

Simon Nicholson
Director of the Global Environmental Politics Program
School of International Service
American University
