Ladies and Gentlemen, I want to remind all our members who are at ISA this year to come to the 4th Annual Fred Friendly Seminar in International Affairs! A Fred Friendly Seminar is an innovative panel in which the panelists will be role-playing an environmental security scenario, but they don’t know what role they will get until I tell them. Then they have to think on their feet to answer questions and stay in character for the duration of the scenario. Last year we flooded out Pakistan; this year’s topic is petro-states, so I’m pretty sure we can crash Venezuela.
If you’d like to see something different than 4-papers-and-a-discussant, help me make this a destination panel for the ISA! If you have a sense of adventure and think sharpening your wits sounds like fun, come be a panelist! -Beth Elizabeth L. Chalecki, PhD Asst.
