Hi Folks, Just wanted to let you know that the first paper is out in a special feature that I'm editing with Kate O'Neill and Alastair Iles that uses science fiction to illustrate important lessons for sustainability transitions. The paper (authored by me) is called:
*Scapegoats, silver bullets, and other pitfalls on the path to sustainability* You can get your open access copy here: https://www.elementascience.org/article/10.1525/elementa.212/ We've got a good set of contributions lined up for this special feature, but are looking for a few more, particularly from non-western and/or global south view points. Here's more information on the feature itself: https://www.elementascience.org/collections/special/special-feature-envisioning-sustainable-transitions/ The Elementa: Sustainability Transitions journal is relatively new, but fairly high profile nonetheless. It is completely open access and only electronic, which allows for papers in the feature to be published as soon as they make it through peer review, copy-editing, and the rest of the process. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about contributing. best, dgwebster -- D.G.
